Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

FourTip ("we", "our", or "the App") is a purchase-decision assistant developed by Dmitriy Karabetskiy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application.

By using FourTip, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our service:

Personal profile data you voluntarily provide: first name, age range, and gender. This is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework.
Purchase analysis data: item names, prices, photos, and AI-generated advisor conversations. This data is stored locally on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, synced to your personal iCloud account.
App preferences: settings and usage preferences stored in UserDefaults on your device.

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our own servers.

3. Third-Party Services

FourTip uses the following third-party services:

Anthropic API: Item descriptions and photos are sent to Anthropic's API to generate AI advisor responses. Anthropic may process this data according to their own privacy policy available at anthropic.com/privacy. We recommend not photographing items containing sensitive personal information.
Apple Services: The App uses Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases, CloudKit for optional data sync, and standard iOS frameworks. Apple's privacy policy applies to these interactions.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

All your data is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Photos you capture within the App are processed for AI recognition and stored locally. We recommend not photographing sensitive documents or personal identification.

We implement reasonable security measures; however, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Children's Privacy

FourTip is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at karabetskiy.d@gmail.com.

6. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all App data at any time by uninstalling the application. This permanently removes all stored information from your device.

For data processed by Anthropic, please refer to their privacy policy and data deletion procedures.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use of FourTip after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
