How does the AI analysis work?
When you upload or photograph a clothing item, Niam sends the image to the Anthropic Claude API. The AI evaluates how well the item suits your personal style, body profile, and existing wardrobe, then returns a detailed recommendation — usually within seconds.
Are my photos stored or shared?
No. Photos sent for AI analysis are processed by the Anthropic Claude API and are not retained beyond the duration of the request. Anthropic does not use your photos for training AI models. Your wardrobe data is stored locally on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account only.
What is included in the free trial?
New users receive 5 AI styling analyses, 3 outfit generations, and 1 wardrobe gap analysis. Trial usage is tracked via iCloud and does not reset upon reinstallation.
How do I cancel my Niam Pro subscription?
All subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel, go to Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Niam, and select Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Can I use Niam for multiple family members?
Yes. You can create multiple profiles within the app — for yourself, a partner, or your children — and manage each person's wardrobe and style preferences separately.
How do I request a refund?
All purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit
reportaproblem.apple.com. Niam does not issue refunds directly.
What is the Style Board feature?
Style Board lets you add photos of people whose style inspires you — actors, models, or anyone else. Niam uses these references to understand your style vision and checks new items for compatibility with it.
Does Niam work offline?
Browsing your wardrobe and saved looks works offline. AI analysis requires an internet connection, as it uses the Anthropic Claude API.
